No inscription. 4 square corners. top edge a little dusty else a Fine copy in a Good only dustwrapper (rear soiled, tanned, minor loss to front, wear around head of spine, has maintained book condition). Copy No.670 of 750. William Charles Baldwin has an honoured place in the gallery of Africa's great white hunters of the nineteenth century. Arriving in Durban in 1851 he became one of this continent's great travellers, journeying between 12000 and 15000 miles with his wagons during the last three years of his wanderings. In 1860 he earned the distinction of becoming the second known European to reach the Victoria Falls on the Zambezi river.
